D Soft developed the DigiChambers platform and the eATA carnets application for the Belgian Chambers.

Digital solution D Soft : iSigner

The Federation of Belgian Chambers of Commerce is an umbrella organisation for all chambers of commerce in Belgium. In addition, it also represents the interests of 33 Belgian-Luxembourg chambers of commerce abroad.

D Soft developed the DigiChambers platform and the eATA carnets applications for the Belgian Chambers.

iSigner was integrated into the DigiChambers platform to guarantee the authenticity and integrity of the certificates of origin.

DigiChambers

The aim of this project was to develop of
an application for the online request and issuance of the non-preferential certificate of origin. Thanks to DigiChambers, companies can thus order their certificates of origin remotely. A company needs to register on the platform as well as fill in the terms and conditions. After approval of the registration, the company can submit its certificate applications online. An employee of the Chamber of Commerce will approve or reject them.

The first version dates back to 2009. By continuously incorporating new functionalities and by far-reaching integration with the ERP systems of the companies, DigiChambers always succeeds in remaining a leader. However, an existing application cannot be adapted infinitely. Therefore, it was decided to thoroughly update DigiChambers and D Soft was again called in to develop this version.

With the development of DigiChambers and eATA, we have been able to simplify these processes considerably. The issuance is now much faster and more accurate and is integrated with the customer and chamber systems. Thanks to the good cooperation with D Soft, we now have two high-performance applications for export documents that are appreciated by both companies and chamber employees for their customer friendliness, versatility and 24/7 availability. "

ATA carnet

The goal of this project was to develop
an application for applying for ATA/CPD Carnets online. Entrepreneurs, employees at the Chamber of Commerce and employees at DigiChambers use this application. The website should allow entrepreneurs to electronically complete, sign, submit and have the ATA/CPD carnet printed. 

    

An ATA/CPD carnet is a uniform customs document that allows businesses to import goods without payment of customs duties and/or taxes on a temporary basis (e.g., at fairs, exhibitions or competitions) into non-EU countries or their equivalent territories, affiliated with the ATA network, for the purpose of a well-defined type of use. The Chambers of Commerce network is authorized to issue ATA/CPD Carnets and acts internationally as a national guarantor organization. 

 

How does eATA work?

The application offers functionalities that depend on the user's authority.

An entrepreneur logs on to www.e-ata.eu to request a carnet. The user creates it based on a blank or an existing application, a duplicate or a replacement. This way, one does not have to fill in everything over and over again. The user goes through the various steps, fills in all the necessary fields, adds the necessary documents and sends it. The application is sent to the Chamber which approves or rejects the application. After approval, the entrepreneur will be able to print the carnet.

A registered Chamber employee manages the companies/users, he can activate, add and delete them. When the Chamber employee rejects an application, he can quickly notify the entrepreneur via a message. The Chamber employee can also initiate an ATA carnet application on behalf of an enterprise himself. Reports can also be generated based on certain criteria.
